Today in class we will be taking our first Chapter quiz! We will be reviewing part of the quiz and also discussing the role of the Short Answer questions on the Test.

Objectives:

Develop skills responding to AP style short answer prompts
Respond to document based multiple-choice questions and a short answer question to demonstrate knowledge on Period 1

Agenda:

Warm-Up #2
1. Quick Review: Historiography assignment
2. Prompt: How you doing? / Historiography Review
  Are you keeping up on your readings? Do you have Questions? Any Concerns? Also: Explain the differing historical viewpoints expressed by Zinn and Johnson concerning early American history. Additionally, hypothesize how either of these authors may view other historical or current events.
Chapter 1 Quiz (20 minutes timed)
Review: Ch 1 Quiz (SA Only)
Study Skills: Short Answer Writing

Homework:

Study for Unit Test (Remember some of CH 2 will be on the Unit 1 Test)
1. Also remember that a 50 states geography quiz is part of the Unit 1 Test!

1. Collect assignments and prepare to turn in on Tuesday/Wednesday!

We are going to delve into the "Why Study History" reading, go over note taking, AND talk about historiography!

Objectives:

Discuss the skill of Cornell Note Taking
Analyze the reasons for studying history through discussion
Use the critical skills of a historian to contrast differing perspectives of history.

Welcome Back

Hello APUSHERS,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had wonderful/relaxing winter breaks. I won't be seeing you for a while. I have updated all of the assignment sheets for the whole semester. Feel free to check them out. You can find them under the resources folder. I have also already created an assignment on turnitin.com for your unit six essay. This is due before midnight on Friday.
